NEC Group Conventions takes agency buyers to Cirque Extravaganza

NEC Group Conventions has hopped from its Spacehopper campaign, which promoted all three convention venues, the ICC Birmingham, NEC Conference Suites and the Vox Conference Venue, straight into a Cirque Extravaganza agency fam trip.

“Fun is the key theme for us this year,” said Kelly Haslehurst, Marketing Director, NEC Group Conventions and Exhibitions. “We want to create exciting ideas and bring people into with our marketing and sales strategy to enjoy events and ideas they may not have experienced before.

“We continue to promote our venues with the concept of one expert team, two central locations and three venues, bringing it all together as an easy way to deliver an event. However, the fun factor has to be front and centre.”

The agency FAM trip was designed as an exclusive, bespoke event for agency buyers with a limited number of spaces available. The idea was to keep it relaxed and enjoyable, and with a busy Autumn schedule for events planners, only 24 hours in length.

The attendees visited the NEC, ICC and Vox Conference Venue, alongside evening entertainment at Hollywood movie star Tom Cruise’s favourite Birmingham restaurant, Asha’s, and a visit to Cirque du Soleil Corteo at Utilita Arena Birmingham, part of the NEC Group. Guests will stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, close to the ICC Birmingham.
